Health & Safety is Our #1 Priority

Arrival/Pick up Protocol for return to class at GLC (Subject to Change)

Note: It is in very important that students arrive on time and pick up is done on time.  If you are arriving late or need to pick up early please call the office at: 508-792-1551 and a staff member will meet you at the door.

Arrival for Class: All Classes will line up no earlier than 10 minutes before the start of your scheduled class on the marked lines outside of GLC’s main entrance. Parents should wait with their child and help with reminders of social distancing. Everyone must wear masks to enter; students will be required to wear masks in the gym when transitioning from one event to another or throughout the facility, however will not wear their mask while on events.  Please note that all staff is required to wear a mask at all times.  A staff member will greet you and your gymnast when it’s time to enter-we will then screen each gymnast/ family for any COVID-19 related health questions.  Once a safe screening is determined, a staff member will sanitize the gymnasts hands and guide them into the facility where they will take off their shoes and place them into their own drawstring bag, their feet will then be sanitized.  The gymnasts will then enter the gym, and our staff will assign them to sit in a spot at their first event (All spots are 6 feet away from each other) until the class begins. Our staff will supervise the students while they are waiting.

Please make sure your child uses the bathroom before arriving to GLC.  Students will use the hand sanitizing stations set up in the gym between events, and when they leave. Our staff will be cleaning and sanitizing the gym, lobbies and bathrooms between each class.

Parent Viewing Options: At this time parents/ guardians/ caretakers are not permitted in the lobby/ viewing areas or in the building unless it is absolutely critical.  Due to Social distancing guidelines we are not able to accommodate parent viewing at this time, however this could change as restrictions lessen.

Dismissal: We will dismiss students at the end of class in a 6 foot socially distanced line and hands sanitize each gymnast as they exit the facility. We will have 1 staff member walk the gymnasts out the side door between the main Entrance and the pool, as the rest will be cleaning and getting the gym ready for the next class. It is essential that students are picked up on time. All parents will park in the upper parking lot and wait for their gymnast outside along the socially distanced marked walkway on the side of the building.

What to Bring to GLC:  All students will arrive to gymnastics ready for class.

·       Girls: should come dressed in a leotard and bike shorts if desired, no tights or socks, no T-shirts, no jewelry and hair neatly tied back.

·       Boys:  should come dressed in shorts/ sweatpants, T-shirt and no socks

·       All students must wear a mask

·       All students must bring a bag to hold their belongings ie. Shoes, water bottle, mask, extra clothes

·       Water bottles must be resealable and marked with your child’s name, as drinking fountains are not allowed.

Looking forward to seeing everyone back at GLC ~
